Media Links
These are some of the on-line media resources which David uses for information (in alphabetical order):
Democracy Now - www.democracynow.org - US-based independent media outlet (radio and tv) with fantastic articles and news programmes which can be downloaded for free. Amy Goodman conducts great interviews. Truly addictive. Channel 4 News eat your heart out!
Indy Media - www.indymedia.org.uk - a truly democratic media outlet - anyone anywhere (with internet access that is) can post an article. Good for up to date info on social movement activities throughout the world.
Iraq Occupation Focus - www.iraqoccupationfocus.org.uk - up-to-date information about the occupation of Iraq.
Truth Out - www.truthout.org - one of the best on-line resources for articles investigating and critical of US domestic and foreign policy. Some great videos to download for free too.

Links to Cool Places
Some of David's favourite places to hang out (virtually that is! - in alphabetical order):
Centre For Political Song - www.caledonian.ac.uk/politicalsong/index.html - the world's first ever centre where political songs are archived and events are organised specifically about topical music. One of Songs For Change's partners in crime!
Protest in Harmony - www.protestinharmony.org.uk - an Edinburgh-based song group which meets one Saturday each month to learn songs of freedom and struggle from around the world. All are welcome. No need to read music, no singing experience necessary — just come along with your enthusiasm and your voice!
Songs For Change - www.songsforchange.com - David's topical songwriting project. Lots of inspiring songs have been sent to this site which David maintains.
Word Power - www.word-power.co.uk - David's favourite (and independent!) bookstore in Edinburgh. There's no better place to browse for hours. Packed full of alternative titles on everything from politics to literature. It's better stocked than most of the big chains and actually puts its profits back into the community by organising an annual Independent Radical Book Fair in the city centre. This year's fair will be held in October and will be the largest to date, marking its 10th anniversary.
