Edinburgh Festival Success

I've now survived 14 performances of my Scottish Folk Roots & Offshoots show, and with 10 more to go I feel that I'm really in full swing.  It's been a lot of fun so far with full houses virtually every night and delightful audiences who are readily coaxed into singing along with the choruses.  I've also had some very positive reviews in The Scotsman ('Ferrard has a fine, true voice and direct delivery which had the audience cheerfully singing along' ), The Herald ('...anyone seeking a gentle introduction to Scottish song, with a chance to sing along, will find it here'), and Three Weeks ('...let this charismatic young folk singer put you straight through the power of traditional song...delivered with warmth and engaging sincerity...His gentle style and perfect diction told these musical stories of ordinary people to extraordinary effect.').  This show has been a departure for me from my original singer-songwriter material - an exploration of my folk roots from both sides of the Atlantic.  I've certainly enjoyed learning a new repertoire of traditional song.
I've led one workshop on slave songs so far for the Festival of Spirituality & Peace and have another two to go.  This was equally positive as was my first of two Get Up Stand Up anti-WMD gigs.  So all in all the Edinburgh Festival Fringe has been a wonderful success for me so far.  If this keeps up for the next 10 days I shall be very pleased indeed!  Thanks to everyone for coming along and supporting me!!!
