Music Music Music

It's been an amazing music-filled week.  Monday started off with confirmation from Greentrax that I would be producing a compilation CD of anti-war songs for the new year.  This project ties in perfectly with Songs For Change.  The winning song from the SFC competition will be included on the new CD.  Tuesday night I was out singing with Karen Dietz (check out the photo page for my pic with Karen - we're singing together outside in the glorious Scottish sun) at Foakies with some of Scotland's best songwriters: Tom Clelland, Tom Fairnie, Mark Barnett et al....Weds night was the Folk Club's songwriting competition - got to hear (and judge - argh!) 30 great new songs.....was invited by fellow judge Nick Keir (of the McCalmans) to do an acoustic gig with him on Thurs night which was followed by a Woody Guthrie tribute evening down in Leith (part of Leith Festival)....Yesterday was Loanhead music festival (great sessions with the Americana crowd) and to finish off the week's musical exploits I popped into the Queens Hall to hear Karine Polwart & Yvonne Lyon....crazy week....but just confirms why I'm pursuing this musical path.....there's so much fun to be had - and what good people!!!
