Music @ The Big Blockade

We had a great blockade this week outside the gates of Faslane, the UK's WMD base near Glasgow.  It was to mark one year of blockading as part of the Faslane 365 campaign.  Over 700 folk turned up and about 180 were arrested.   There was a carnival-like atmosphere with wonderful music from some of my favourite folkies: Roy Bailey, Leon Rosselson and Seize The Day.  We had a message of support from Scotland's First Minister and there were several MSPs present.  This Big Blockade attracted plenty of media coverage, so all in all it was a veritable success, keeping the debate over nuclear weapons in the public eye.
