Yesterday's blockade of the Faslane nuclear submarine base outside Glasgow was very inspiring. We had musical contributions from Roy Bailey, Alistair Hulett, Mick West, Seize The Day and Billy Bragg amongst others and spoken word contributions from Adrian Mitchell, AL Kennedy, Hilary Wainwright, Jay Griffiths and many more. It was mercifully sunny and the police made several comments about how much they were enjoying themselves! There were nine arrests in total (everyone's been released today) and about 50-100 supporters outside the weapons base.
