Yesterday a group of fellow activists met to sing outside the Scottish Parliament as MSPs entered the building to debate the renewal of Trident. Needless to say the majority of parliamentarians did not vote with their conscience and so the Scottish Parliament has betrayed the Scottish people, continues to break international law, and allows the perpetuation of a weapons system which threatens the future of the human race. Our protest was visible to the politicians and we got good coverage on BBC Scotland news, so these were modest accomplishments. Afterwards I was asked by Solidarity MSP Tommy Sheridan to come and sing on his radio talk show this Sunday 24th December 10am-1pm.
