Singing with Roy Bailey

Back from Towersey - an amazing village festival near Oxford.  To my surprise I was put on main concert stages a few times and so must have played to over 3000 folk during the weekend which was great exposure.  Thanks to everyone who came to my spots and who spoke to me afterwards.  Those of you who caught all five performances I think should have been entitled to a free CD.  Next year I promise to bring more!  When you're travelling alone it's such a pleasure to make new friends and people at Towersey seemed to be friendlier than most.  I opened for one of my favourite folk singers, Roy Bailey.  He just handed back his MBE in disgust of UK foreign policy.  I agree with Tony Benn - he is Britain's best socialist singer.  We sang the choruses of Woody Guthrie's Peace Call together.  This was a highlight of the summer festivals for me!!!  Thanks Roy ( www.roybailey.net ).
