Vote For Me

Three of my songs feature on an exciting new website called Democrazy ( www.democrazy2007.com/home.php ), an initiative to raise the profile of political music in Scotland and the new Single Transferable Vote system. There are prizes for the most downloaded songs. Basically the songs that get the most downloads win, so if you vote for Hills Of Virginia, Visions Of Our Youth, & The Hour Of Plenty, I may win up to £3000 and gain some valuable recognition.

There are two stages to the competition. Downloading begins on Thursday 1st March and closes on Thursday 19th April. The most popular tracks, based on downloads, will then be shortlisted and from Friday 20th to Friday 27th April an online STV election will be held to identify the three winners.

As you know, I am very committed to music with a social and political conscience, so this sort of project (very similar to Songs For Change: www.songsforchange.com ) is close to my heart. So, go to www.democrazy2007.com/listen.php , look for my songs (they are constantly shuffled) and remember not to just listen to the songs, but to download them too, as that's how votes are cast! (This doesn't always seem to work with AOL, so go to Internet Explorer if you have a problem).

If you could then revisit the site on 20th April to see if I am shortlisted that would be great. If I am, please vote for me again!
